About Dana
I call KY home! Wife of a history buff and mother to 3 energetic boys and crazy enough to have 3 mini dachshunds! I got where I am artistically by LEARNING and practice. NOT talent. Although talent helps it is not a necessity. Like any other skill you can LEARN IT and get better! MASTERS DEGREE in secondary Education Taught in public high school since 2006-now

Details
Have pencil and paper ready! My style is like "volleyball" we will go back and forth between small sessions of demonstrations and practices. like this: 10 min Sketchbook "show and tell" I want to see what you enjoy drawing and what you are currently working on. *remember it's about IMPROVEMENT not PERFECTION 10-12 min Teacher demonstration under drawing (of skill you want/need) 10-12 min Student practice under teacher guidance 10-12 min Teacher demonstration of second skill (shading) for the lesson 10-12 Student practice and follow up with assigned practice for the time in between lessons I have taught in person public school this way for years and it is an engaging (not overwhelming) approach which WORKS!
