About Sara
I am a third-year PhD candidate in Medieval Studies at the University of Bristol, where I also teach seminars about French Literature and Culture. I specialise in 12th-century Old French romance from Champagne, focusing on the representation of emotions and medieval medicine in literary texts. I also mentor online for the University of Bristol Futures course and teach French as a Foreign Language at International House (Bristol). Previously, I taught French, Latin and Methodology at EIFA international bilingual high school in London. Some of my students were beginners in French but all were able to follow the National Education programs and be passionate about ancient cultures.
I also taught French and Latin at the collège-lycée in Paris after being admitted to the CAPES competition with 18/20 oral in 2017 and I was also eligible for the oral examinations of the highly competitive "agrégation" in 2018.
After studying at the Sorbonne, at the ICP in Paris and at the UCSC in Milan in Italy, I obtained the Master of Modern Letters with the distinction "Very well".
Thanks to the CIEP, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I then taught French in college-high school in Ireland; more particularly I organized training sessions for the oral of the Junior Cert. For a few months, I also worked at the FLAM (Français LAngue Maternelle) school in Carrigaline, intended to consolidate the French knowledge of kindergarten and primary school children where at least one of the parents is a native speaker.
Later, still with the CIEP, I joined the faculty of foreign languages at the University of Colima, in Mexico where I was in charge of the third year classes of the license and the French option for business and marketing students. I also led “cinema in French” workshops, conversation groups for students and adults several times a week, revision workshops for the written and oral exams of the DELF-DALF, and evening classes for adults on the two campuses of the university.
Volunteer and always wishing to improve my skills and educational, pedagogical and didactic methods, I register for various training courses each year (EN, MLF, ICP, ISFEC- AFAREC ...).

I offer French language and literature, FLE (French as a foreign language) and Latin (LCA) courses online.
They are intended for all those who wish to improve their French skills from college to higher education, without forgetting the methodology or even the Roman culture.
Experienced teacher, I have worked for several years for the National Education as a certified teacher (CAPES) in college-high school and I know the programs inside out! I have also taught in Ireland, Mexico and the UK, where I have Qualified Teacher (QTS) status.
Having worked with a wide variety of audiences, from infancy to adults, going through college and university students, I adapt to each according to their needs. Whether you are dyslexic, a complete beginner or an experienced French speaker, I will be happy to help you improve your level at your own pace!
In order to be effective, I offer lessons that allow you to work on specific skills (spelling , grammar, text commentary, dissertation ...) or even which prepare students for the patent and baccalaureate exams. Once the objective is specified at the start of the lesson, the session(s) can begin!
Depending on the student's request, I can develop the course on material provided by him - even or to propose my own texts and other exercises.
Finally, according to the students, the parents, the colleagues and the inspectors who met me, all emphasized the benevolence and the high quality of the education I provide. So don't hesitate to contact me!

Sara has a deep knowledge of the French language. Her patient and pedagogical nature is one of her main assets.
Sara has been amazing at helping me improve my French. She is kind, supportive and encouraging. I used to be terrified to speak French but I know feel much more comfortable. My grades in homework improved enormously after a few lessons and the thought of an exam no longer fills me with dread. I could not recommend her highly enough!
ChrisSara’s enthusiasm and patience were key when she tutored me in French lesson.
