About Art
After suffering from brutal levels of chronic stress that threatened every aspect of my mental and physical health, I discovered mindfulness practices nearly a decade ago. Shortly after the start of my practices, I was able to begin recovery from alcoholism and addiction, rediscover physical health and healthy eating habits, and learn to live my life without the crushing stress that had previously colored my every experience.
I can't even believe how quickly things changed for me!
Now, having become certified to teach meditation about 5 years ago, I help people discover this same amazing method to reclaim their lives, their health, and their happiness.

My approach to teaching mindfulness meditation is what sets me apart from most teachers, who adhere to the notion that formal meditation is the only way to practice. While formal meditation is very valuable and essential for many, for many others, it feels inaccessible and overly burdensome.
My approach is to work with informal meditation practices first to allow my students to see improvement in mood, attention, and awareness very quickly - often within the first week of practice - that allows healing and growth to happen more naturally and with a sense of stability.
I work online and in-person, and a typical 45-minute session feels more like a conversation with a trusted friend than a stuffy teacher-student meeting.
I specialize in entry-level lessons, but my methods can help even the most experienced meditators deepen their daily practice and, in turn, deepen their satisfaction and happiness.
