About Olufemi
I am a passionate and dedicated Physics educator with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Applied Geophysics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). I have more than 10 years of experience teaching Physics, working with students of different ages, abilities, and educational backgrounds.
My academic background in Applied Geophysics has given me a strong understanding of Physics and its practical applications, while my training in Education has equipped me with the skills to communicate complex ideas in a clear, simple, and engaging way. I enjoy helping students understand not only how to solve Physics problems but also why the principles behind them work.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping learners discover their abilities and gain confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. Over the years, I have seen how the right explanation, encouragement, and teaching approach can transform a student's attitude towards learning. This motivates me to create lessons that are supportive, interactive, and tailored to each learner's individual needs.
I particularly enjoy using everyday examples and practical situations to make Physics easier to understand and relevant to students' lives. Whether a student is struggling with basic concepts, preparing for an examination, or aiming to achieve higher grades, I am committed to helping them make steady progress.
For me, teaching is more than delivering information. It is about inspiring curiosity, developing problem-solving skills, building confidence, and helping students become independent learners. I find it rewarding to see students progress from uncertainty to confidence and develop a genuine interest in science.
I am excited to continue teaching and supporting learners from different backgrounds, helping them achieve their academic goals and develop a positive and lasting relationship with learning.

My teaching methodology is student-centred, practical, and focused on helping learners develop a strong conceptual understanding of Physics rather than simply memorizing formulas. I begin each lesson by assessing the learner’s existing knowledge and identifying areas where they need support. I then introduce new concepts using clear explanations, real-life examples, diagrams, demonstrations, and carefully selected questions.
I adapt my teaching approach to suit each learner’s age, ability, learning style, and individual goals. I regularly use formative assessment, quizzes, questioning, and feedback to monitor progress and identify areas requiring further practice. My aim is not only to improve examination performance but also to build students’ confidence, curiosity, and ability to apply Physics to everyday situations.
My typical lesson lasts 50 minutes, although I can adjust the duration depending on the learner’s age, level, concentration span, and learning objectives.
I have a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Applied Geophysics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). My academic background in Applied Geophysics has provided me with a strong foundation in Physics, Mathematics, and the practical application of scientific principles.
