About Karishma
Hi, I’m Karishma, a 200HR certified yoga teacher and professional dancer with over 27 years of movement experience. Dance has been a huge part of my life since childhood, and performing professionally since 2014 has given me a deep understanding of body awareness, discipline, creativity, and expression through movement. Alongside dance, yoga became a grounding practice that helped me reconnect with myself both physically and mentally, especially through major life transitions including motherhood.
As a mom of two young children, I understand how difficult it can be to prioritize your own well-being, which is why I aim to create classes that feel supportive, realistic, and accessible. My teaching style focuses on helping students build strength, mobility, flexibility, confidence, and a deeper connection to their bodies without pressure or perfectionism.
I teach private yoga classes in Western Sydney for beginners to intermediate students, with sessions tailored to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and experience level. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve mobility, return to movement, build a consistent practice, or simply take time for yourself, my classes are designed to meet you where you are.

My approach to yoga is supportive, personalised, and grounded in helping students feel more connected to their bodies. I combine mindful movement, mobility, strength, and relaxation to create classes that are both accessible and effective. Drawing from over 27 years of dance experience, including professional performance work since 2014, I bring strong attention to alignment, body awareness, fluid movement, and expression into my teaching. I completed my 200HR Yoga Teacher Training and continue to deepen my practice through ongoing study and personal movement exploration.
Each class is tailored to the individual and may include vinyasa flow, mobility work, stretching, core strengthening, restorative poses, meditation, and breath-focused practices. I teach with patience and encouragement, creating a calm, welcoming environment where students can move at their own pace without pressure or judgement.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for beginners, busy parents, dancers, creatives, or anyone looking to improve flexibility, strength, posture, mobility, stress management, and overall wellbeing. I offer private 1:1 sessions and small group classes in Western Sydney, with options for gentle or more dynamic styles depending on your goals and experience level.
