About Charlie
Chartered Accountant and First Class Honours University of Edinburgh graduate with an MA in Economics and Accounting. I have 6 years experience tutoring Economics, Business Studies and Accounting A levels as well as Financial and Management Accounting, as well as Micro and Macro Economics and Statistics at the undergraduate level. I also have extensive practical experience working as a Chartered Accountant for a FTSE 100 listed company in a Financial Reporting role.

My methodology revolves around identifying the students weakest areas then focusing tuition there. The main method of improving revolves around past paper/ sample questions. I will then mark the questions and offer advice on how the student can improve facilitating at the end of the process strong exam performance as strong syllabus knowledge is combined with effective exam technique.
Using my extensive practical experience in a financial reporting role I also bring the subjects to life with practical examples and a variety of approaches to solving a problem or exam question. This improves the students evaluation skills and also tailors teaching to how the student learns. This leads to my students to both enjoying and thriving in these subject areas.

I used Charlie to help me for my Accounting and Economics courses at university which I found challenging to understand and to prepare for exams. His past experience doing the course himself was extremely helpful and insightful and he simplified difficult theory and past paper questions into easy steps which you can follow and memorise . This gave me the confidence I needed to excel in my exams.
