• When did you develop an interest in your subject and in private tutoring?

  I developed a strong interest in teaching when I realized how much impact clear explanations and proper guidance can have on a student’s confidence and performance. During my studies, I often helped classmates understand difficult topics, and I enjoyed seeing them improve after our discussions. That experience naturally grew into an interest in private tutoring because it allows me to work closely with students, understand their learning style, and help them achieve measurable progress at their own pace.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I enjoy teaching because it combines theory with practical understanding and problem-solving. I like discussing topics that challenge students to think critically, ask questions, and apply concepts to real-life situations rather than simply memorizing information. I especially enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple explanations that students can easily understand.
  
  The topics I enjoy less are usually those that rely heavily on rote memorization without practical understanding, but I still make them engaging by connecting them to relatable examples and interactive learning methods.

• Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?

  Yes, I was inspired by teachers who were patient, approachable, and passionate about helping students succeed. What stood out most was their ability to make difficult subjects feel simple and achievable. They created an environment where students felt comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment. That approach influenced the way I teach today because I believe encouragement and clarity can significantly improve a student’s confidence and performance.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  A good tutor should be patient, knowledgeable, adaptable, and encouraging. Every student learns differently, so a tutor must be able to adjust their teaching style to meet individual needs. Communication is also very important because understanding a subject is easier when explanations are clear and practical. Beyond academics, a good tutor should motivate students, build their confidence, and create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

• Could you share an anecdote related to your subject or your student days?

  One experience I always remember was helping a fellow student who was struggling badly in a particular subject and had almost given up. We spent time simplifying the topics step by step and practicing consistently. After some weeks, the student passed an assessment with a much higher score than expected. Seeing that transformation reminded me that many students are capable of succeeding when they receive the right guidance and support.

• Did you face any difficulties at school or university?

  Yes, like many students, I faced challenges balancing academic pressure, deadlines, and difficult subjects at certain stages. Some topics required extra effort and discipline to fully understand. Those experiences helped me become more patient and understanding as a tutor because I know firsthand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming. It also taught me the importance of consistency, practice, and asking questions when something is unclear.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?

  I am passionate about teaching and personal development. I enjoy helping students grow not only academically but also in confidence and problem-solving ability. What motivates me most is seeing students move from confusion to understanding and eventually becoming independent learners. I also enjoy continuous learning myself because it helps me improve both my knowledge and teaching methods.
