About Emma
Hi!
I am currently a newly qualified Paeds nurse (graduated 2021) within the Birmingham area, and am hoping to help carry on tutoring.
I have gained special needs experience through volunteering in a special needs school during my A Levels and start of university. I am not formally qualified but am willing to be patient and work with your child.
I have tutored 2 children through their Year 6 SATS, and although I do not have any formal tutoring experience for GCSEs, I have somehow managed to get various family members and friends through the exams without too much of a worry (I admit, I may have needed a glass of wine by the end of exam season, but they all did great!).
I have a very laid back teaching style, and try to get the child to learn as much as possible on their own with me just helping them in the right direction. I find this works best as my students have opened up to me and trust that I will let them do their own thing until they need my help, therefore building confidence.

Emma is a student nurse and I approached her to help teach me key concepts of nursing prior to my exam. Emma was extremely friendly and professional throughout our three sessions, she made me feel relaxed and started from basics to build up my knowledge from a true foundation.
