About Kim Xuan
Hello! My name is Kim Xuan Nguyen, and I am excited to help you begin your journey in learning Chinese. Here's a little about me:
I graduated from the Chinese Department at Hanoi University, Vietnam, and later earned my master's degree at Shanghai. I lived and worked in Shanghai for seven years, immersing myself in the language and culture. My husband is a Shanghainese, and we have a 4-year-old boy. Now, I have immigrated to Canada, bringing my extensive experience and passion for teaching Chinese to students worldwide.
For the past 10 years, I have been teaching Chinese online to beginners, helping them build a strong foundation and confidence in the language. Alongside teaching, I have worked as a professional Chinese-Vietnamese translator and interpreter for a decade, gaining valuable insights into the nuances of both languages. My last full-time role in Shanghai was as an Operation Manager for Hanju TV, where I further honed my communication and organizational skills.
I believe learning a language is not just about memorizing words and grammar but also about understanding and appreciating the culture behind it. My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student's needs, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience.
