About Stephen
I love teaching and developing graduates and apprentices as part of my civil engineering job. I use all my experience of being taught and corrected as a younger engineer that I can now pass on to others. I use mathematics daily in my job and my experience translates well to maths tuition. I've been working online for a number of years now so I'm very experienced at online presentation and teaching / mentoring of colleagues. I try to break down concepts so they can be easily understood. I look forward to helping you develop in maths!

I offer a free first lesson - this consists of a 15-minute consultation and marking a student test. The consultation is with the student and their parents to discuss the current level of the student and where they ideally want to be. It also includes the student undertaking a subsequent test that I will mark, so I can accurately gauge the level of the student and areas for improvement. Lessons will be 1 hour, online using Zoom. Lessons are for maths GCSE students. We will study using the Edexcel syllabus at either Foundation or Higher level.

Stephen is very organised and is great at explaining complicated things in a way that is much easier to understand.
I worked with Steve in my first job as a graduate engineer. Steve mentored me from day one and coached me on the projects I worked on with him. If I was unsure of something, he would take the time to teach me or show me how something is done. He developed me to become a better civil engineer, and also helped me to pursue my chartership.
