About Laith
My name is Laith Gharaibeh. I am a Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa/Canada. At the Civil Engineering Department. I am specialized in Structural Engineering. My research area is about protecting wood buildings from dynamics and explosion loads in experimental and analytical fields. I am working as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa. I taught Mechanics of Engineering, Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis 1 & 2, etc. I am an expert in AutoCAD 2D and 3D, and I used to teach AutoCAD to students at all levels.

Starting from a concrete problem, instead of the traditional theoretical and abstract model, sees notable improvements in students’ ability to retain knowledge as well as the opportunity to develop complex competencies such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, or problem-solving. Laith and I took many courses together during my masters at uOttawa. Laith wasn’t just a colleague but I great teacher for me as well since he got an excellent strategy on how to deliver his message in a very simple and organized way.
