About Ava
I am studying to be a speech therapist but teaching music will always hold my heart. I have been teaching music to students ages 9-18 since 2016 as well as tutoring students with learning disabilities in English and math. I have found that music often goes hand in hand with English and math and studying both together breeds well-rounded learners.

I teach entirely based on the learning style on the individual. If a student needs to move around, I will build the lesson to include a lot of movement. If a student needs structure to focus, we will do short, timed sessions to create a challenge. Everyone learns differently. As a private tutor, my goal is to discover that learning style and cater to their unique needs. I aim to fill the gaps that our broken school system leaves us with.
