Classics student at University of Cambridge keen to help students of all age learn Greek and Latin language, literature and culture!

Maria was enrolled in my course Buddhist meditation techniques and cultures across Asia in spring 2019. She participated in all class discussions and outside-of-class activities enthusiastically and intelligently. It's evident she not only completed the readings for class meetings but more importantly, thought about them substantially and critically. She's a good writer who enjoys putting her thoughts into words. She will make an excellent tutor for any subject that requires writing and critical thinking skills. As a person, she has great initiative and strong leadership. She also shows exemplary engagement with the study of Asian cultures, especially Japanese culture and society. Last spring, she was one of the two key student leaders on our campus here in Southern California to push for a kabuki revival on our campus. She will be more than an academic tutor and will form transformative relationships with the people she comes into contact with. I highly recommend her for any tutoring job. She'll be excellent with younger peers.
