About Tobias
I am a soon-to-graduate senior at Lincoln High School who loves math. I started taking college math courses my sophomore year when I was just 15 years old. Since then I've gone on to: Get a 790 on the SAT math section Teacher's aide for the highest level of math at Lincoln (HL Math Analysis 3-4) Take 5 math courses at PSU (Calc 3-5, Number theory, and Linear Algebra) I would love to work with all age ranges and levels of mathematics. I work to make sure my students understand the fundamental ideas behind a problem solving approach. I try to prove / show things to be true rather than just state them as facts. The goal of my tutoring is important in determining the layout of a lesson and the particular approach I take. I work best with middle school to high school age ranges as I have worked with both in the past (my brother is in middle school and the students I help teach are 11th and 12th grade).

Perfect! Very friendly and was a big help
Perfect! Tobias was an incredible tutor for my 8th grade son this past summer. My son needed to get through the second half of Algebra in order to get into Geometry for 9th grade at Catlin Gabel. Although my son was taking a class at Jesuit, it wasn't as helpful as we'd hoped it would be. Luckily, Tobias was a G-d send! He diligently helped my son 2 hours per day for 5 weeks to both get him through the Jesuit class, then prepare him for the Catlin exam.
My son passed the test with Tobias' help.
Tobias showed great enthusiasm and patience throughout the summer, along with an enormous amount of skill and pedagogy.View more reviews
