I pride myself on taking time to truly understand the needs of each of my students. As a child, I often found it difficult to learn because the way material was presented didn’t always align with how I understood things. That experience shaped my approach as a tutor—I aim to adapt to each student’s unique learning style. Whether the challenge is content-related or difficulty in understanding how questions are framed, I first listen and identify where they’re struggling before crafting a personalized plan.
A typical lesson begins with us discussing their specific challenges. I break down complex concepts into smaller, digestible parts, using examples that resonate with their experiences. As we progress, I adjust my teaching methods—whether it's hands-on practice, visual aids, or a step-by-step breakdown of problems—to ensure they’re not just memorizing but genuinely understanding the material.
What sets me apart is the connection I build with my students. By showing them that I care not only about their academic progress but also about their overall well-being, I create a space where they feel encouraged and motivated to learn. This makes the learning process more engaging and fun, and I’ve found that when students feel supported, they become excited about what they can achieve.
My tutoring is primarily for middle-school to highschool-level students, but I tailor lessons to any subject or difficulty level that aligns with their needs, whether it’s preparing for exams or strengthening foundational skills. I am also able to help with reviewing college-admissions essays or applications.
