About Remy
Passionate about Piano and Music, I started learning this instrument at the age of 7 in private lessons. Later, I returned to the Aix en Provence Conservatory where I obtained a Diploma in Musical Studies with honors, then I deepened my knowledge and my artistic mastery at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels where I was able to obtain a Piano Master with Distinction and a Didactic Master, as well as an Agrégation.
I have already taught for 10 years in Conservatories in France with students of all levels and all ages, and regularly replace - especially in Academies in Belgium-, which allowed me more to develop a rapid adaptation.
I also worked as an accompanist pianist in various places in France.
The students I trained were mainly children who started with me and who went until the end of the conservatory course (3rd cycle). I also had students in private lessons to prepare for entrance exams to the Conservatory in Specialized Cycle or to pass their DEM (Diplôme d'Études Musicales Français)

For beginners, I use the method "The joys of the first year of piano" by Denes Agay, allowing me to install effective working methods in the student and to discover the basics of musical language. For students who are already advanced, the first lesson makes it possible to identify the student's level and target in which direction the work must continue. Working on one or more Bach work (s) at the beginning to check the achievements and the working methods is often a primordial step to be taken before being able to venture into a repertoire that goes off the beaten track. The choice of the repertoire to be worked on being "medicinal", it will be made according to the level of the student, his qualities and possible defects to be corrected, and his objectives, his tastes and ambitions.
I work on technical mastery, posture, hand position, without which it is difficult to reach a certain level and the possibility of expressing myself clearly on the piano.
I approach all types of repertoire and many great composers in order to develop an ear, a sensitivity and a musical understanding, while passing by the study of the style of the various eras of our culture and sound literature.

Perfect! Violoniste étudiante dans un conservatoire supérieur de musique, j’avais déjà quelques notions de piano que j’ai acquises il y a quelques années. J’ai voulu m’y remettre et j’ai pris plusieurs leçons avec Remy. Je n’ai vraiment aucun regret. Remy est un musicien passionné et excellent pédagogue.
Il m’a permis de progresser techniquement grâce à ses judicieux conseils, et m’a poussée plus loin dans la recherche du discours et de la sensibilité musicale. Nos discussions m’ont également beaucoup apporté dans mes réflexions pour la pratique du violon.
Remy est professeur très patient et à l’écoute, à la fois rigoureux et encourageant.
