About Julia
I went to Cornell university for undergraduate. I was an Animal science major in their very hands-on program, and I am currently enrolled in their 7 year BS/DVM program. This means I completed most of my undergraduate requirements in 3 years and entered vet school after my junior year. Now I am a first year veterinary student and Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine and have gained clinical experience through a variety of internship, shadowing, and volunteering experience. I am incredibly passionate about veterinary medicine and everything it entails, and I can apply this passion to related subject matters like anatomy, physiology, and biology. I was a teaching assistant in undergrad for our animal biology and animal reproduction classes, during which I realized how much I enjoy working with students and sharing knowledge.

It’s often easy to get lost in the details when studying. I believe the best way to remember material is to connect it to real-life scenarios and integrate your knowledge so you understand the “big picture”. Then, you can fill in the details. Through undergrad, vet school, and my experiences in clinics I have developed my skills in these realms and would love to help you do the same! I am very passionate about veterinary medicine, anatomy, and physiology and will do my best to make you feel the same way! Tutoring sessions will be fun, starting with an emphasis on the relevance of the material to either life or clinical applications. Then, we will go through the material with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that you understand the material to the depth that is expected of you. You will come away from our sessions feeling confident, and I will do my best to make sure you have fun doing it.
