About OWEN
Current third-year University of Edinburgh student, working towards a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am interested in Natural Disasters, Safety, and Seismic Stability and hope to work in these areas upon graduation. I am a keen Triathlete, training multiple times a day, and carry an energetic, tireless attitude into my professional career. In 2023 I was elected president of the University Triathlon Club and manage it alongside my studies.

Through out my latter years of schooling I tutored younger students face to face in maths, physics and sport science. I was also selected to be a student mentor for the younger years. I am a keen athlete and bring the same energy and patience to the class room. I believe in a practical approach and learning from failing. I guide students to understanding not by showing them the solution but by questioning attempted methods. Typical lessons would be 1 hour long and are based towards GCSE and A-Level students but would be comfortable tutoring younger as well. I have achieved A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Sports Science, graded A/B/A* and am now in my 3rd year of a Civil Engineering degree at the University of Edinburgh.
