I am a PhD student in Philosophy with an MA in Film Studies. I spend a lot of time writing and editing everything ranging from philosophical essays to screenplays and poetry. I am passionate about teaching an languages, as I studied Mandarin at university and am currently learning French. Each session is based around feedback on a piece of writing. Students send me their writing (written for the session or tailored to another another purpose e.g. university application) before the session, I curate feedback and discuss the feedback during the session. The discussion portion is essential for ensuring a mutual understanding of the writings strengths and deficiencies, as well as for the best steps to take toward improving the writing.
