About Kent
I was recently in the shoes of the high schoolers that I am looking to tutor and therefore understand how they are feeling towards classes and their futures. I graduated high school at the top of my class with a 3.95 GPA and a 4.7 weighted GPA, have been in college at the University of Florida for one year and currently have a UF GPA of 3.9. I have taken over 13 AP tests and 7 IB (International Baccalaureate) tests throughout high school. I played baseball and football throughout high school and understand how students have to balance their schedules now a days and make my study plans accordingly.

I have taken four biology classes through the past five years and am very capable of teaching biology at any high school level. I also have an extremely high reading level and understanding of writing that would make me the perfect person to teach you about reading, writing, or any type of english test prep. I am also very competent with Algebra and have helped many people prep for SAT and ACT english and math tests.
I believe that the best method of teaching involves showing the student the proper method for accomplishing the task and then having them learn the task through repetition and guided practice. Having scored a 1500 on the SAT just three years ago, I have since guided my sister to a 1450, and multiple of my cousins and friends to scores of 1400+. This was done through acknowledging their strengths and weaknesses and building upon both.
