About Rose
My name is Rosie and I am currently studying theoretical physics at Lancaster University. I have A level qualifications in maths, further maths and physics. When I graduate I want to become a science teacher largely based on my work tutoring in the past and seeing how well the students I helped did in their final exams and how much they developed their understanding and appreciation for the subjects I love. I am diagnosed with dyslexia so understand how difficult and frustrating exam performance can be. I have tutored other students with dyslexia in the past and have helped not only with understanding the material but also breaking down each question to explain exactly what examiners are after.

Typically lessons will be 1 hour (can do 2 hour intensive sessions as well), with a focus on exam technique and breaking down what examiners are looking for in answers to improve performance in exams. Typically a session would include a focus topic which I would be informed of beforehand even if that focus is working through a whole past paper. I have experience tutoring both GCSE and A level students and helped someone get from a predicted level 4 to achieving a level 7 in physics GCSE. I am open to tutoring years 10-13 (beginning of GCSE to end of A level) and have experience tutoring people with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia to help them perform the best they can in exams.
