As a math tutor, my teaching approach is rooted in empathy and a commitment to helping students not only understand mathematical concepts but also build confidence in their abilities. I believe in tailoring my methods to suit each student's unique needs and learning style.

My teaching techniques include breaking down complex topics into smaller, manageable steps, providing real-life examples to make abstract concepts more relatable, and encouraging active participation through problem-solving. I also emphasize the importance of practice and self-assessment to reinforce learning.

A typical lesson plan begins with a review of previous material to ensure a solid foundation. Then, I introduce new concepts, explaining them clearly and using visual aids or analogies when necessary. During the lesson, I encourage questions and discussion to ensure comprehension. We work through practice problems together, gradually increasing complexity to challenge the student appropriately.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students on a personal level, creating a supportive and non-judgmental learning environment. I also bring a diverse background in both education and advocacy, which allows me to relate mathematical concepts to real-world issues and emphasize the practical relevance of math.

My lessons are designed for students of various levels, from elementary school to college. I'm dedicated to helping anyone who struggles with math or wants to strengthen their math skills. Moreover, I have a particular passion for working with individuals from marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, who may face unique challenges in their educational journey. My goal is to empower my students with not only math skills but also the confidence to pursue their academic and personal aspirations.
