About Anthony
I am a 22-year-old student at SUNY Cortland. My goal after I graduate is to become a Health Education teacher. I aim to teach about health in a different way that many know it to be. My lessons are about teaching life skills rather than teaching only about health content areas like disease, drug abuse, physical activity, etc. Rather, I aim to teach my students the necessary skills to make healthy decision after my health class, to have healthy communication, to be able to set goals for themselves, to be able to advocate for themselves and their health, and to be able have self-management health skills.

- From my program at SUNY Cortland, I have learned multiple different teaching strategies and differentiation for a diverse set of students. I am comfortable with adjusting my teaching style to best fit the needs of each of my students.
- My average lesson plan starts with a pre-assessment of knowledge of the topic, then I begin instruction, then students will have time to work on the topic on their own, and then we end with reflection of the lesson where we talk about the big picture.
- My lessons are about Health Education and discuss skills to become health literate. These lessons can be applied to any age group.
