About Safeer
Hi! I'm Safeer, an undergrad student studying Law at Oxford. Exams do not need to be as daunting as they are made out to be. With the right mindset, good preparation and a lot of fun (yes, fun!) I believe every student has potential to excel in exams. I grew up thinking I was not as good as the other students as I struggled with speed, but with a relaxed mindset I have conquered my fear of exams in an array of subjects and levels; 11+ exams, LNAT, Hindustani Vocals Post Diploma and theory, Dance and across my A levels. I love debating and exploring thought processes or paths which are outside the norm!

Who are my lessons for? - I would like to start with teaching students hoping to sit the 11+ entrance exams. I am happy to teach both Maths and English.
Typical length - 1.5/2 hours but can be flexible.
Why me? - I myself came from a disadvantaged area where 11+ entrance exams were unheard of. Despite this, I wanted to nurture my love for learning and applied to 12 independent schools, and received offers from all 12 and a couple with scholarships. I spent a lot of time researching the assessment process and believe I can help students efficiently prepare for these exams. Should the student receive an interview invite, I would also be happy to coach for these. I am confident in my approach as I used the same principles in my preparation for university applications, and am now studying Law at Oxford.
Techniques - I am very much an advocate for using exam papers for preparation. To avoid the rigidity of this approach, I also like to dedicate some time every lesson to be more creative about the topics covered in the exam to nurture unique thought processes. I understand that every student is different, and therefore am ready to be flexible to accommodate all types of students.
