About Mauricio
I am Mauricio, now going into my second year of university study at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford for English literature and language. I got 2 A stars and an A at A level (English literature, Economics, Maths), along with an A at AS Level French. I've previously taught a girl at 11+ over 3 months. She got some great results as she got into St Paul's. I know how valuable good, strong tutoring can be, having been tutored myself! I promise to do everything to improve a pupil's level and proficiency in English.

My lessons would focus mainly on close reading skills, hoping to improve the student's analysis of texts that are put before them. I also try to help with improving flair and precision in essay writing/comprehensions. Advising on personal statements and helping with other work is a strength of mine. I like to keep lessons as conversational and entertaining as possible, while also challenging the student as far as possible.g
