About Maria
My motivation for being a teacher comes from deep within my heart. Growing up in a conservative home, I found it difficult to fully express myself. However the influence, support and motivation I received from my school always encouraged and inspired me. Throughout my school experience , I always found myself having a good relationship with numbers , therefore making mathematics my most preferred subject , i would manage to quickly grasp concepts that my peers around me would find difficult to lay hold of.Math is my treasured subject in school because of its countless uses in everyday situations , necessity in businesses and the economy , and how it challenged myself and others to solve complex problems. I believe that my success in math is due to all of the wonderful teachers I had while growing up.My confidence and positive character development started as a result of my teachers, and I wish to have the same impact on my students.

Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, which is complemented by my concurrent pursuit of a Master's in Teaching. My passion for teaching has been profound since a young age, evident in my active involvement in assisting teachers during my schooling years. I have engaged in numerous internships focused on teaching children aged 6-14, with a particular emphasis on mathematics and English.
Following my high school graduation, I embarked on a gap year dedicated to teaching in a school catering to children with special needs, including those with ADHD, Autism, and various other learning differences. This experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of different learning mechanisms and adapt my teaching methods accordingly, aiming to optimize each child's learning experience.
My hourly rate ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, and I am open to negotiation. This rate applies for up to five children.
