About Elliott
I have a passion to teach future doctors, lawyers, scientists, and the next generation of leaders. I love to learn and study so thee is no better way to explore this affinity other than by teaching others!
I studied IB biology and chemistry in 2015-2016 and wish I could have had the extra support from my older peers who had gone through the exams and learnt all the tricks to achieve high marks.
I believe that everyone should learn basic sciences, regardless of the career path they make after high school. Being able to critically analyse scientific data, understand basic scientific processes and laws we are able to discern what is and what is not scientifically valid. This was highlighted to me more profoundly during the pandemic and the misinformation around vaccines, masks, and health guidelines. The old saying, ' knowledge is power', has never been more true than it has in the past 3 years.
I hold a valid Victorian Working with Children card.

I focus on understanding core material in enable the student to answer exam style questions in any context.
Having graduated from the IB Diploma in 2016, I know first hand how stressful the leadup to exams can be. I utilise study techniques that I learnt as an IB student studying Biology Higher Level and adjust them to the students needs.
I strongly believe in exam practice and technique and focusing on gaps and weaknesses in the students knowledge.
In my classes I use:
- my own lecture slides
- exam-style questions from question banks
- tests and videos
- and anything else that I believe will be beneficial to the student's learning
