About Abdul Nafay
Hello, and welcome! I’m Abdul Nafay, a cybersecurity engineer, founder and tutor based in Karachi, Pakistan. I have been teaching myself and practicing cybersecurity since 2018, and today I turn that experience into clear, practical lessons for students around the world.
My background
Freelance security researcher and bug bounty hunter on HackerOne
Co-author of an IEEE research paper on a cybersecurity framework
Cybersecurity and AI engineering experience, including malware analysis, adversary simulation and SOC automation projects
Founder and CEO of Nocturne Systems, a technology company building security and software products
Currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSCS) at SSUET
Why students trust me
I understand security from every angle: the attacker’s, the defender’s and the business’s. I also remember what it feels like to learn this field from scratch, so I am patient, structured and honest about what you need to learn next. My earlier education at a military school taught me discipline and reliability, so you can expect me to be punctual, prepared and professional at every lesson.
Whether you are a curious beginner or aiming for a career in cybersecurity, I will help you build real skills and real confidence.
Feel free to send me a message and tell me about your goals. I would love to help you reach them.

Hi, I’m Abdul Nafay, a cybersecurity engineer who has been learning, breaking and defending systems since 2018. My lessons are built on one belief: you only truly understand security by doing it, not by memorizing slides.
My teaching method
Every session is hands-on. We work in real lab environments and practice the same techniques used in bug bounty hunting, penetration testing and SOC work. I explain the “why” behind every attack and defense, so you learn to think like both an attacker and a defender instead of just copying commands. Complex topics are broken into small, clear steps in plain language, in English or Urdu.
A typical lesson
Quick recap and goals check (5 to 10 min)
New concept explained with real-world examples
Live hands-on lab where you do the work and I guide you
Review, feedback and a small practice task to take away
What sets me apart
I’m an active practitioner, not just a teacher. I’ve done bug bounty work on HackerOne, co-authoring an IEEE research paper, and worked on malware analysis, adversary simulation and SOC automation projects. What I teach is what I use.
Who my lessons are for
Complete beginners curious about ethical hacking
University students in computer science or cybersecurity courses
Career switchers aiming for SOC, security analyst or pentest roles
Aspiring bug bounty hunters who want their first valid report
Anyone preparing for a security certification or interview
Every plan is customized to your level and goals, and I’ll also help with portfolio building and career direction.
