About Elysia
I am Elysia, a 21 year old Psychology graduate. I started dancing when I was 2 years old as my mother encouraged us to start hobbies from that age. I quickly fell in love with dance, both the structure and fluidity of it. My aim is to pass my passion for dance to other individuals, no matter their ability or age. I am looking to study Sport/Health Psychology at a Masters level and have a particular interest in encouraging all individuals to take part in physical activity. I believe dance is the best hobby to take up as it teaches many skills including resilience and adaptability, as well as being fun! I now have a years experience in teaching dance as my part time job, and it has turned into me taking a gap year to focus on pursuing my dreams of being a dance teacher. I have been trusted to run multiple new classes this year and would love to branch out to do more.

I have been a dancer for 19 years and as such use a variation of methods that cater to all individual's learning needs. Lessons usually last from 30-60 minutes, with the possibility of longer lessons if requested. I am qualified to Associate (Teacher) level with two dance boards for Tap and Jazz/Modern, and am preparing to reach these qualifications in Ballet and Highland. My lessons can be adapted to cater for any level and age of dancer, whether just starting, or looking to further develop skills.
