About Evelyne
Teaching allows me to share the reality of the work after spending time in the industry. I recall sitting at my first desk when the data was messy and the deadline was fast approaching.
With a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from The Wharton School, I guide you through feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, scikit-learn, SQL for analytics, statistics for data science, regression modeling, and data cleaning. I typically work with students who need to bridge the gap between academic theory and the grit of real world analytics. Most people find the transition to clean code quite difficult.

Working through a broken regression model is where the real learning happens during our time together. We prioritize the mental models that matter in a professional setting rather than just memorizing syntax. My background from The Wharton School informs how I approach data cleaning and SQL for analytics. By focusing on 373 students I have taught, I know exactly where the common pitfalls occur in scikit-learn and exploratory data analysis.
You learn to spot the errors before they propagate through the entire pipeline. It is a slow process that requires attention to detail. We just keep iterating until the logic holds up.
