About Cohen
As a deaf, trans male artist, a dad of two and early childhood educator, with all my years of experience in visual arts, and almost 4 years of foundation as an ECE, I created an inclusive and diverse environment to encourage my student to explore and thrive in their creativity. My journey has taught me the value of expression and individuality and I aim to inspire the students with these qualities.

Even though I am 75% deaf, I have hosted many classes to all ages and currently work as an early childhood educator. I believe that each student requires their own pace and lessons geared to their goals rather than putting everything into blocks and lessons. No everyone fits in the same box.
Together, we will assess and plan how to improve your skills and thrive even more as an artist!
First, we will discuss and share what we can and can’t do, what your goals are and create a plan to make it happen.
Then, we will meet to discuss of this plan and modify as needed before we start the courses together.
Once we have the course plan set, the third time we meet, we will begin our lessons.
In between all this, I may give little exercises to help me see what you can do and what will be practical in the lessons.
I hope this works out well for you, a different approach. There is a little artist in all of us and if there is a will, there’s a way!
For your information, I am bilingual and I can also teach those who are deaf (LSQ). I could work with those know ASL but that I will be learning the language through you as I can understand a good portion of it. (Mainly fingerspelling that I and no good at! lol

Cohen has teached me how to do spray can art years ago. Become a favorite habit of mine, and even got me to expand more into other arts like resin art now. He is very patient, understanding, reasonable, and very kind. He puts his whole heart into everything! He would make a great teacher!
