About Chris
Hi, I'm Chris, I have practised yoga since the age of 16, over 20 years now.
This milestone has prompted me to share what I have learned about yoga through teaching. I only felt that I was beginning to understand what yoga is really about after 10 years of practise. Now, after 20 years, it is still an ongoing evolution and development.
I have recently studied and been awarded a distinction in a yoga training diploma level 3.
What I see of yoga on the internet is a very achievement focused approach. For me the ability to perform a pose is not the essence of yoga, rather it is a sense of wellbeing and happiness, of balance and positivity that the asanas help us to reach. And from this wellbeing come the many physical, emotional and mental benefits.

I will take you through asanas that suit your ability and give you insight into the various benefits of yoga and the positive impact it can have on your life.
Hatha yoga is a combination of physical poses, rhythmic breathing and mental focus.
It is also a combination of effort and relaxation, of force and gentleness, of discipline and fluidity.
Yoga takes us towards physical health but also emotional and mental wellbeing.
Try yoga for flexibility, muscular strength, alleviation of nervous disorders, depression and insomnia.
There is an art to yoga. Even a complete beginner who performs a simple asana with steady attention, fluid movement and relaxed breathing is actually doing better yoga than the experienced yogi who rushes or forces an asana with a distracted mind.
