About Kris
Having been a musician since 1999, I have a wealth of experience in brass and woodwind instruments in multiple genres from pop and funk, to jazz and classical. I completed my Batchelor of Arts (Hons) at Bath Spa University after also studying at Montana State University in the USA, where I have played with musicians including Wayne Bergeron (Gordon Goodwins Big Phat Band) and Ron Blake (Greenday). In 2017 I received the Bath Spa University’s Ensemble Musician of the Year Award, for my directorial work with multiple ensembles during my time there. After graduation, I continued as an associate lecturer at Bath Spa University and founded the Kris Nock Big Band.
Currently, I am an associate lecturer at the University of West England, and director of the multiple award winning Kris Nock Big Band.

Lessons will be completely personalized to the goals of the student, from working on grades, to playing for fun, to understanding how instrument and body work in harmony. Lessons length can be agreed on consultation to work for both of us.
I have over 20 years experience as a musician and 7 as a conductor and director. I have taught private lessons intermittently for 10 years, progressing students to achieve their goals, and directed the Kris Nock Big Band for over 4 years.
