About Ethan
I’m an undergraduate at Durham University studying Spanish, French and Italian. I took all three languages at iGCSE achieving high A* grades. I also took Spanish and French at A-level, winning high A*s in both. English is my native language though, and I have some teaching experience helping out in a local Primary School

My teaching method is based around emphasising languages as being a real world phenomenon. I think it’s easy, especially when under pressure from exams, to see languages as a set of rules and vocab to remember rather than a way of communicating used by real people in their real lives every day. I always try and tie vocab to interesting and memorable topics or discussions and like to treat grammar as a foundation of knowledge that is built upon rather than a set of hard and fast rules.

The best to ever do it
I studied Spanish alongside Ethan for several years at School and now at University as well. Being the best Spanish speaker I've had the pleasure to work with, he has certainly taught me a few things, and would make an excellent tutor for anyone looking for high-quality Spanish lessons.
