About Ruby
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and have 7 years of experience teaching guitar to students at various levels. My academic training included solo performance preparation, ensemble collaboration, and music theory studies. These experiences strengthened my understanding of both technical discipline and creative expression. Throughout my career, I have supported students preparing for recitals and personal musical development.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, organization, and consistent progress. I believe students grow best when lessons are structured and supportive. Many learners appreciate my clear demonstrations and motivating guidance. I adapt lesson plans carefully to match each student’s strengths and goals. Building confidence alongside technical skill remains central to my approach.
Beyond teaching, I continue refining my performance skills and exploring new repertoire. Continuous development allows me to maintain high instructional standards. Watching students grow into confident musicians brings me great satisfaction. My long-term aim is to inspire dedication and creative growth through guitar music.

My guitar lessons focus on building strong technique while encouraging musical creativity. We begin with posture alignment and relaxed hand positioning to ensure comfort and prevent strain. I guide students through scale practice, chord progression drills, and rhythm exercises to improve coordination and timing. Early sessions emphasize clean tone production and smooth chord transitions. Each lesson begins with organized warm-up routines that prepare both hands for focused practice. I explain how technical control directly improves sound quality and expressive ability.
As students progress, we explore advanced strumming styles, fingerstyle patterns, and melodic phrasing techniques. Song analysis helps learners understand harmony and musical structure. Improvisation exercises are introduced gradually to build creativity and independent musical thinking. Performance preparation includes complete piece practice to strengthen concentration and reduce nervousness. Clear home practice plans are provided to support steady improvement outside of lessons.
My goal is to guide students toward becoming disciplined and expressive guitarists. I offer balanced and constructive feedback to encourage continuous growth. Over time, learners refine rhythm accuracy, improve tone clarity, and gain performance confidence. I aim to create lessons that combine structured learning with artistic enjoyment.
