About Eliza
My interest in Economics started when I realised how deeply it influences everyday life and global events. I completed my Master’s in Development Economics after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Over the past 6 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them understand complex economic ideas through simple and structured teaching.
I focus on creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment. My teaching style is clear and patient, with an emphasis on breaking down concepts into manageable steps. I use real-world examples, diagrams, and discussions to make lessons more interactive and meaningful. I also encourage students to ask questions and think independently, which helps build both confidence and curiosity.
Outside of teaching, I stay updated with economic news and research. This allows me to bring current and relevant examples into my lessons. Teaching Economics is rewarding because I get to see students grow into confident thinkers who can understand and analyse the world around them with clarity.

Economics becomes meaningful when students see how it shapes the choices people make every day. My lessons focus on building this connection by explaining concepts like supply and demand, elasticity, market structures, and government policies in a simple and relatable way. I use real-life examples such as pricing changes, business decisions, and global trends to make ideas easier to understand. This helps students move beyond memorisation and truly grasp how economic systems function.
I design lessons based on each student’s current level and learning style. Beginners are introduced to basic ideas with clear explanations and visual tools. Intermediate learners work on graphs, data interpretation, and structured answers. Advanced students focus on deeper analysis, case studies, and exam strategies. Every session includes guided practice and feedback so students can improve step by step and build strong confidence in their understanding.
Economics also helps students develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. As they begin to analyse situations logically, they become more confident in forming opinions and solving problems. My goal is to make Economics feel practical and engaging, helping students build a strong foundation that supports both academic success and real-world understanding.
