About Caroline
I am a software developer and maths lover with a strong background in education as I have been tutoring for 7+ years and have taught multiple maths classes at my high school as the unofficial teacher. I've taught 20+ students individually over the past years and currently I'm working at Varsity Tutors online tutoring whilst I am in school.

My teaching methodology is to first get a grasp on what the student(s) is/are capable of and what they have learnt so far so I can accurately gauge at what level should I start. I also like to get to know my students so if they don't get something when it's abstract in the subject, I can associate it with things they're familiar with. In addition, I like making sure a student understands the material by providing examples and having they work out loud through it as well as occasionally explaining tough concepts back to me to see if they totally understand it.

Details
If a student cancels their lesson less than 24 hours before the lesson time or is a no-show, payment is still due because I had blocked out that period of time for them in advance. In addition, if I have to travel by car for more than 30 minutes for a lesson, the fee will be increased to $35 /hour as indicated due to petrol costs and time inputted for travel.
I can also tailor an entire lesson plan to the student if the student is not receiving an adequate education at school, or if they have missed a large period of class at the fee of $35 /hour for planning curriculum and research.
My fees include the years of experience I have had in tutoring and teaching large classes as well as the level of education I have received in the subject(s).
In addition to Computer Science, I am also very happy to tutor in all levels of maths up to calculus II as well as biology, chemistry, Mandarin, French, and essay-writing.
