About Jardin
I like to meet students face to face as I believe this aids in conveying information clearly, while providing a higher likelihood for students to fully grasp concepts.
Most of the time the students I tutor know exactly what they want from me, but when this is not the case I take the following steps:
- I start my lessons by asking students what area they would like to focus on and then follow up with what they are struggling with around that area.
- From there I try to analyse if there are gaps in fundamental ideas that can help with a better understanding of the subject.
- After taking some time to work through the fundamentals of the subject I move onto some worked examples that are usually supplied by the student.
If the student is not happy with the level of tutoring I am happy to remedy the situation, as the last thing I want to do is rip anyone off.

I am an electronic engineer currently working as a research officer at Auckland University of technology. My highest qualification is a Master of Engineering in the Biomedical field.
For 3 years while completing my undergraduate studies, I was an engineering tutor for all levels at AUT. Previous to this, I also worked at number works and words as a math tutor for school kids aged 5-17. I am happy to tutor all levels up to 3rd year engineering mathematics.
I am based in west Auckland but am happy to make arrangements to meet outside of this area depending on the situation.

I have previously had the pleasure of working alongside Jardin tutoring for high school students starting in 2014. He has since gained experience tutoring at a tertiary level, and acting as a support person to students as well. He is a very capable tutor who is able to cater his teaching style to each individuals needs, but more importantly he is a lovely guy, friendly and approachable which is essential for a comfortable learning environment.
Richard Amog WillsJardin is without a doubt the best decision I made regarding my Engineering Studies. He works around my busy schedule and adapts his teaching style to accommodate my learning difficulties. He manages to take difficult content/ideas & theory's and distil them down into manageable real world examples proficiently which truly shows his mastery of the Engineering disciplines. I highly recommend Jardin to any and all that require help in the electrical engineering space.
