About LUZ ESTELA
My experience as a teacher consists of yearly training, teaching ,and learning strategies during all these 20 years. I am familiar with the new English as Second Language strategies such as SIOP (A research-based method of instruction used to help English language learners). This method includes activities focused on the five language components; Vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening, speaking, and writing.

As an elementary ESL teacher, I elaborated and planned lesson plans, activities and assessments that covered the state standards and objectives. We as a grade level team planned the strategies and focused on data to meet the students' needs. I participated in the professional development trainings along the district and out of town. I was involved in all extracurricular school activities for students, parents and our community. In addition, I assisted students at the after school programs to help them increase their grades and prepared them for the state tests. I offering my experience to assist you our your child.
