About Ruth
My name is Ruth Egbine, I am a supportive and approachable tutor who is passionate about helping students grow in confidence, improve their communication skills, and develop a deeper understanding of people, values, and personal development. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel heard, respected, and motivated to learn. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs and learning styles. With experience supporting and teaching young learners, I understand the importance of clear communication, empathy, and building trust. My goal is to make each lesson engaging, meaningful, and practical, helping students feel more confident both academically and personally.

I offer remote, online-based lessons designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style and goals. My teaching approach focuses on open discussion, practical examples, guided conversation, and real-life scenarios to help students build confidence in communication, motivation, religious studies, and humanities. I use supportive teaching techniques such as active listening, question-and-answer sessions, reflective thinking, and personalised feedback to encourage understanding and personal growth. Each lesson typically lasts one hour, providing enough time for meaningful learning, discussion, and skill development in a relaxed online environment. Although I do not hold a formal tutoring certification, I have experience teaching and supporting children in learning, which has helped me develop patience, communication skills, and an encouraging teaching style. My lessons are suitable for students aged 12 and above, welcoming learners of all levels who want to improve their confidence, understanding, and personal development.
