About Lia
I'm a passionate and dynamic French tutor with over three years of experience in teaching learners of all ages. My journey with the French language began in my early childhood, growing up in a bilingual household, which ignited my love for French culture and linguistics. I pursued my studies in French language and literature, which provided me with a deep understanding of the intricacies and beauty of the language. Teaching French has allowed me to share this passion and help others discover the joys of speaking and understanding French.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, from young children taking their first steps in language learning to adults looking to refine their skills or prepare for travel and business interactions. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with the language. I believe that learning should be fun and interactive, which is why I incorporate a variety of multimedia tools, real-life scenarios, and cultural insights into my lessons.

In my French lessons, I prioritize creating an immersive and interactive environment to foster a natural acquisition of the language. The third segment of the lesson focuses on practical application. We conduct role-plays, simulations, and interactive games that mimic real-life situations. This practical approach helps students to apply what they have learned in a controlled environment, boosting their confidence to use the language outside the classroom. We might simulate a restaurant scenario, a travel experience, or a casual conversation among friends, providing students with the practical vocabulary and phrases they would need in such contexts.
