About Maya
I'm a friendly and experienced tutor, with specialisms in English literature, German Literature and the humanities in general.
I am passionate about my subject, and love to engage students with it too. I'm currently completing my PhD in literature, having graduated from UCL with a distinction for my MA in comparative literature, and from the University of Oxford with a first class BA in English and Modern Languages (German).
I also have experience teaching students of different ages and at different levels. During my PhD, I have worked as a module tutor, teaching undergraduate courses in literature and arts. Before this, I taught English as a Foreign Language to adults and children of varied ages, having gained a TEFL qualification. I have also successfully tutored students for A-Level and GCSE English Literature, as well as in preparation for Oxbridge Admissions tests and interviews.
