I am a researcher and university professor (National University and El Bosque University). CAREERS I HAVE TAUGHT TO: Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Veterinary Medicine and Surgical Instrumentation. SUBJECTS IN WHICH I AM SPECIALISED: Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics (general, cytogenetics and molecular genetics including epigenetics), Cell Signalling, Immunology, Animal Physiology and Neurophysiology. EXPERIENCE IN UNIVERSITY TEACHING: 10 years. EXPERIENCE IN PRIVATE TEACHING (College, Undergraduate, Master's and Doctoral Students): More than 15 years. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE: Expression and purification of recombinant proteins, Cancer, Stem cells, Hormonal regulation and Cell signalling (especially in Growth Factors). I worked as “young researcher” 2 years ago (MinCiencias). MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES: Proteins, Nucleic Acids, Microbiology, Mammalian cell culture: Western blot, ELISA, protein purification, structural analysis, RT-qPCR, gene silencing (ShRNA), electrophoresis, DNA and RNA isolation and analysis, expression and purification of recombinant proteins, among others. As a student, I always wanted to have classes with the characteristics that I present below, that's why you will find the following elements in my classes: 1) PEDAGOGY: Didactic, dynamic and participative resources and tools. 2) TYPE OF LEARNING: Significant, functional, integrative, contextual, problem-based and with a practical approach. 3) LEVELS: Classes for beginners, undergraduate and postgraduate students including Master's and Doctorate. Up-to-date topics and concepts of the highest scientific level are addressed. 4) OTHERS: Concrete and Emphatic Classes in the Essentials of each subject. Promotion of student participation in order to put the knowledge they have acquired to the test. All of this by solving exercises that INTEGRATE several topics and enhancing student's reasoning, deduction, association and logic skills (among others).

Perfect! Óscar is a magnificent teacher. He taught my son, and he was delighted. Óscar teaches using experiments, examples, and highly applied cases, which help you understand and apply very complex concepts easily. He is extremely attentive and has great human qualities. It is my pleasure to recommend Oscar as a teacher. Due to his more than 15 years teaching biochemistry and relate sciences, he knows what a student should know to be able to perform the current MED requirements so he plans strategies (Explanation/Examples/Diagnosis/Enhancing Skills Training) to make sure the student is going to have a really good scientific knowledge achievement.
