About Dylan
Hey! My name is Dylan, and I’m a current engineering student who also has a passion for art. What drives me as a tutor is seeing students go from confusion to clarity, truly understanding and appreciating a concept, much like learning how to paint or draw. There’s an appreciation for both the subject as well as the methodology. I’m committed to creating a calm, supportive learning environment that encourages a lot of clarifying questions and an environment that builds independence over time. Everyone has their approaches to understanding a concept, but the main goal is always to make students feel confident in their ability to tackle new challenges and concepts. As someone who appreciates the attention demanded from math, physics and engineering, but also a love for art and creativity, I try to blend both worlds when teaching a student, combining different creative approaches to meet the student's needs.

As an online based tutor, I focus on creating clear, structured lessons that adapt to each student’s learning style. Whether my students want time to really zone in and focus on practice questions, or require an in-depth analysis about how to go about a problem, I want to ensure understanding first and foremost. I review material, and making sure the student has a clear understanding, I want them to explain concepts back to me as well. I also tend to include practice questions/prompts to ensure they understand, most of the time in a quiet environment with support on stand-by if they require it. These online classes are ideal for students with a passion and drive for understanding STEM subjects, for personal growth as well as exam preparation.
