About Zachariah
I am an English major who loves to write essays (Yes, I really do!) as well as read stories. I'm a missionary kid who grew up traveling the world, having taught both in Chattanooga and Indonesia. I've taken education classes as well as a practicum in teaching at my school, Covenant College, as I'm pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I love showing students how to improve their writing, anywhere from the elementary level to 10-page college papers.

My teaching method is putting in the effort. There are clear steps to writing a good paper or having good reading comprehension in a test. My job is to communicate those steps to the student as simply and clearly as possible, then to work with the student from there in order to create a solid foundation of that skill, and lastly, to make a space where the student will create and use those skills on their own volition. People learn best when they can present what they have been taught back to the teacher.
