About Jody
Hello,
My name is Jody and I am an English teacher, I teach currently students who for one reason or another can not attend mainstream school.
I love teaching, especially English as it is a chance to use our imagination and learn in a way that helps our brains develop creativity and exploration into other worlds, times that are future or past! It is a fabulous Topic and to understand it can take our minds to fantastic heights. I like to see students creating their own narratives, writing stories, imagination exploration, all these skills help us progress in the world of work and create successful paths in the future.
I look forward to sharing all my knowledge and understanding with you, and showing how English studies can broaden your horizons.

I look at the learning style of the individual and work my tutoring around them! Each learner has individual preferences to learning and what they find interesting is personal to their personality!
I use online chunking if needed, this is where we work through small chunks then break for a chat about the session to allow the information to settle in, unit assessments I find work fantastic allows myself and the learner to see where there are any gaps in learning or what they may need to go over.
I assess first on the topics needed for their individual learning expectations, this allows us to concentrate onareas shown to be lacking. I will use revision videos of myself also through email to allow Own time learning if they want to, homework will be set if they choose to complete, this will help them progress quicker.
