About Luiza
I have been teaching since I graduated in 2014. In this trajectory, I have already taught in a private language course, where I had a varied audience (from 12 year old children to adults). I taught classes from the 1st to the 9th grade at a regular private school for two months. I was a teacher of basic English and English for conversation in an extension project at Faculdade Integrada Brasil Amazônia. I am currently a substitute English teacher at the Federal University of Pará.

Knowing the learner, in the first place, is essential. When outlining a work plan for a particular student, I try to understand his dreams and goals with English, as well as his skills and challenges with the language, so that we can improve what he already knows and work on what still needs to be improved. There is not just a methodology that I use. I choose the most appropriate methodology according to the purpose of the classes (skill to be worked and objective with English) and to the student's individualities (tastes, interests, desires, learning style). I am concerned with working beyond language skills, students' autonomy and their perception of themselves as a language speaker.
