About Ellen
As a person passionate about teaching and with plus 2 years of tutoring children of ages 9,10 and 11,I am interested in working at your company teaching English to children and even adults.
I studied psychology in tertiary and that's where my love for children grew,as we did child development as a module.Getting to understood how children s mentality work has made me fall in love with wanting to be around them.And when I saw that I can actually take a tefl certificate and be able to teach children abroad,I became very excited at that possible opportunity.I have been tutoring children afrikaans,which is a language that's mostly used in my small town,but because we have different languages here,most children dont know the language, and they would come to me after school to get help with homework and assignments. Although it is an afrikaans subject but I have to learn to teach each according to their understanding of the language,where at times I have to explain words and phrases in English so they understand better.I am currently an educator assistant and again because I am working with children of different ages,I developed an even deeper love for teaching.I assistant educators with teaching those that are slow to process what they are being taught,I even have to explain to those who do not understand afrikaans in a language they are used.And that also taught that preparation is vital,because I have to prepare and check different translations to the words.As far as keeping the children well disciplined, well I have learned different techniques to do that for every grade as their behaviors differs with age groups.
I am interested in this position as an online teacher and eager to continue deepening my passion for kids and also eager to work in an environment where my passion for teaching can make an impact.Your students will definitely benefit alot from my skills and techniques,and will surely enjoy while learning English.
