About Katerina
I am Katerina Andrea the English Teacher who worked at last year's summer camp teaching the Immersion's group . I would be delighted to work at your school, should a teaching position becomes available.
I am an innovative, adaptive, passionate and highly motivated teacher who will work hard to help and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities.
My background includes a four-year University Degree in Education Sciences/ Primary Education. I have a master’s degree in SPLD/ Dyslexia at Bath Spa University.
I try to continuously develop my teaching skills and knowledge by doing online courses provided by top American and English Universities. Some of the most recent ones are :Teaching phonics in Early Childhood : University of Queensland University of Glasgow (2020) Teaching English Online Cambridge Assessment (2020) Teaching programming in the classroom PI Raspberry (2020) (2020) TESOL Strategies: supporting ESL students in mainstream classes
I have five years of experience in teaching English as a second language in an English Language school, as a teacher in International Schools in Spain and as a private tutor. My experience in multiple classroom environments enable me to become a flexible, adaptive and highly organized teacher. I can manage and successfully teach a full class of children who all have different needs and learning styles. I am confident in delivering high quality, structured and cumulative lessons, preparing children for their English language exams and building a trusting relationship with the parents.

I believe that students learn in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to teach my students, so that no one is left behind. My master in dyslexia helped me gain the appropriate and specialist knowledge to support every child in my class. Each child has a different learning style therefore in class I will make sure that by using multisensory ways of teaching every child’s needs will be met. I believe that all students should feel safe and welcome in class and be themselves. I want to encourage them to speak their minds and express their uniqueness through educational classroom activities.
