About Aaron
Tutoring Experience: 4 years of private tutoring, teaching over fifteen different students ranging from 11+ to Dissertation level.
Exam Results: 9A*s at GCSE, 2A*s at A Level, and a high 2:1 from Durham (rated the best English course in the country).
BUT this was not always the case!
When I was at school, I alway struggled to control my imagination for essay subjects. Trying to cram all my energetic ideas into a 45 minute assessment seemed impossible, and teachers would tell me to just 'tick the boxes' examiners want.
This is BAD advice. When you get to higher levels of education, you need to show your individualism and personality in your writing. You are not just some robot!
Essays are just your side of an argument. And once you know how to express your argument in a controlled and persuasive manner, then academia becomes a less daunting, far more fun task.
As soon as I learnt this, I was able to succeed academically and explore and express my imagination. ESSAY WRITING CAN BECOME FUN.
And no challenge the GOVERNMENT throws at you will be impossible.

I will help teach individuals to express their imaginations in controlled formats that examiners will respond well to. If you want to get the A*, then I know what examiners/teachers are looking for to give you that big tick in the margin. Often teachers will tell students to 'simplify' their answers in order to get the marks. I think this completely discourages imagination and 'academic identity', and everyone should be able to express their ideas fully in any academic scenario. Indeed, at higher levels of education, this imaginative 'flair' and 'spark' is required to achieve the top marks. With various techniques and practise, I will teach individuals to communicate their ideas in ways that are 'exam friendly', never sacrificing their passion or 'flair', but simply teaching them to express their arguments in a clear, controlled and persuasive manner.
